REPORT ABOUT POSTER’S 1D

September, 24, 2018, class of 1D which consists of same groups had presented their posters in the class. The posters tell about short story had been given by Mr.Vilya as if Basic Integrated English (Reading) lecturer.

First group, presented about “The Magic Shop” written by Herbert George Wells. The poster was made by Nisa,Hanum,Rima,Lusi,and Shofi. The short story tell about, “first, there a boy named Gip. Gip and his father walk on regency. When they were walking, Gip found a magic shop. He was curious about the shop, so he and his father went to the shop and saw the situation on the shop. The shop had many magical things. There was a shop keeper. He put the drum to Gip and Gip told a mantra. After that, suddenly Gip lost. Gip’s father confused and asked the shop keeper where his son. In fact, Gip at outside of the shop and Gip’s father met him.” The poster had been designed during 3 days by them. They need 2 days to understand the story about. According to them, the story was difficult because used classic sentences.

Second group, presented about “The Happy Prince” written by Oscar Wilde. The poster was made by Dimas,Naufal,Alifia,Yuilana,and Leena. It was about the statue and the swallow. It telled about, “There a happy prince, but he was dead. So his friend made a statue and put at above menara. One day, there was a swallow at the menara. The swallow felt welt because the statue cried. So the bird asked the statue why he cried. The statue cried because many people need help. The happy prince asked the swallow to help him because he wanted to help his people to be happy again. After that, the swallow always came to the statue to help him to send his letter to his people.” Then, resolution of the story was “the swallow died because he always came to help the happy prince to send his letter to his society.” They need 5 days to understand the story about and finished design the poster during 2 hours. According to them, the
favourite line of the story at the moment a curious crack heart had snapped right in two. It certainly was a dreadfully hard frost.

Last, third group, presented about “B24” written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The poster was made by Bening for drawing, Lia and Lisa for colouring, Lilis for cameraman, and Adi for understanding the story. The story tell about,” There was a thief. He wants to steal, but he was surprised because the lady showed him the ways to the riches. Suddenly, the riches came and the thief at that time was hiding. After that, he heared the quarelling. When he came out, he found the lady killed her husband.” Then, the resolution was “the end still unfinished because the thief at the jail for 3 years. After that he told his innoncent of murder to the judge.” They finished to read the story during 3 days. According to them, to transform from the story to the poster was hard. They were felt awesome after read the story because it was mystery story and they did like. They used the dictionary to read the story because there was a classical words.
